MEET THE TEAM

Mr Keith Mutimer – Director

Mr. Keith Mutimer F.R.A.C.S (Fellow Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) is a fully qualified Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon and is the former President of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He won a Commonwealth Scholarship to Monash University, and Prince Henry’s Hospital Clinical School from which he graduated. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in plastic surgery in 1986.

Currently Mr. Mutimer is Vice President of The Royal Australian College of Surgeons which is responsible for training of all future surgeons in Australia and New Zealand. Following his training working in reconstructing children’s faces at The Royal Childrens Hospital, Mr. Mutimer has continued his interest in study at specialising in the ageing face. His principle interest and passion is for cosmetic surgery involving Facelifts, Eyelids and Nasal Surgery.

He is constantly upgrading his education with regular attendances at national and international conferences and workshops also giving lectures at seminars. His overseas training includes Harvard University, including the Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston U.S.A. where he was the Chief resident of Plastic Surgery. He was also a Fellow in Plastic Surgery at Oxford University in England, a Locum Chief Surgeon at the Lautoka Hospital in Fiji and a resident under the Plastic Surgery Program at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. He studied Craniofacial Surgery at Enfant Malade Hospital in Paris.

Michelle Field - Director
Registered Nurse / Specialist Nurse Injector

Michelle is a Mercy Private Registerd Nurse / Peri-Operative Nurse from St. Vincent’s Public Hospital Melbourne. Michelle has worked closely with Plastic Surgeons in all facets of practices for 15 plus years and has always attended conferences here and overseas to attain the highest standards in treatments that she can then incorporate in your treatments.

Michelle instigated the incorporation of medical based skin care into many Plastic Surgeons rooms to add a new and improved dimension to the excellent facial surgery performed by the highly qualified surgeons she has had the opportunity to work with.

Dr. Diane Webster

Dr. Diane Webster, MBBS, FRACS, FRANZCO is a Cosmetic Physician specialising in Botox Treatments and Dermal Filler procedures to enhance the natural beauty of the face and correct the effects of ageing. Dr. Webster completed her MBBS at Monash University and trained as an Ophthalmic Surgeon. She works part of her week as a General Ophthalmologist as well as working at The Skin Institute two days per week doing Cosmetic enhancements to the face and skin.

Dr. Webster has a passion for performing cosmetic procedures with Botox and Dermal fillers as she takes pride in fine detailed work that results in beautiful skin and radiant youthfulness returning to the face and skin. As an Opthalmic Surgeon, Diane specialises in the rejuvenation of the eye region.

Pauline Swinkels – Registered Nurse / Laser and Peels Specialist

Pauline is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Midwife. Pauline has worked closely with Mr. Mutimer for over 10 years as a peri-operative nurse/laser specialist. Through her training and use of lasers in the operating rooms, Pauline has developed a keen interest in laser therapy and is excited to be involved with cutting edge laser skin treatments.

As one of the first practices in Australia to have a T.G.A. approved “Cutera” laser and due to the high number of laser procedures performed by Pauline, she has become an excellent nurse laser specialist, demonstrating the ability to give proven results. Pauline has also been a trainer with the Cutera Lasers. Pauline is constantly attending conferences and information seminars to up-date her knowledge and skills as new research and products become available.

Colette Watson - Registered Nurse / Laser Hair Removal Specialist

Colette trained in Liverpool, England and specialised as a theatre nurse in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery for over 20 years. Specialising in both ND:Yag and Prowave 770 nanometer (infra-red laser hair removal) Colette can offer you the best type of hair removal to suit your skin type and colour. She also specialises in brown spot removal and skin rejuvenation.

Eva Cumming / Tracie Taylor / Kim Draper

Our three talented receptionists are at your service to help co-ordinate appointments for you, help with the approximate costs of procedures and any general enquiries you may have. They all have extensive education into our product lines and will direct you to the person most suitable to fulfill your requirements. If they can’t answer your questions they will ensure one of the Registered Nurses will get back to you with an answer. They are here to please and help you.

Georgia Goodchild

Georgia has completed the Victorian University diploma of applied beauty therapy with high distinctions. She is now currently studying a degree in Health Science and Engineering (Dermal Therapies) at Victoria University. The course is designed to provide students with the next step in advanced skin science education. Included in the degree is lymphatic procedures, laser and light procedures, advanced peels, electrically based dermal treatments and extensive knowledge in cosmeceutical products. Georgia is skilled at eyelash extensions and enjoys performing medi-facials. She has a passion for ‘skin’ and is bringing her skills to The Skin Institute.
